The Daddy Long Legs are quite a unique strain of psilocybin mushroom, indigenous to the Fraser Valley region of Vancouver, BC – where the best examples of this unique fungus are still grown today. Although it’s speculated that this mushroom had been growing naturally in the damper parts of the region for thousands of years, its history of cultivation and usage only goes back to the late 1990s. It draws its curious name from the long, thin stalks which are reminiscent of the thin legs of the daddy long legs.
The Daddy Long Legs, like most cubensis, has a high that can vary in intensity depending on dosage, but one can generally expect strong visuals – intense colours, pattern immersion, waviness, and the like. In addition, it’s well known for providing strong euphoric notes comparable to those of the Blue Meanie or B+. The feeling of universal love, unity with “the source”, and sometimes even religious experiences are not uncommon. It’s a delightfully quirky member of the magic mushroom family, made all-the-more special because of its relationship with this beautiful province.
Dosage recommendations for beginners are the 1-2g range. Daddy Long Legs are not the most intense species that we offer, but they should still be treated with respect. If you’re looking to go deeper, a dosage of 3.5-5g should get you where you’re looking to go. As always, use carefully – and err on the side of caution!
These were incredible. Absolutely amazing. Life becomes a dream when you eat these. Great for meditation and the comedown really helped me get a good sleep.
We’ve been looking for something to help with depression. We tried micro-dosing and have moved from the 100mg capsule to 2x300mg capsules every other night. We’ve noticed a little difference but nothing special. We decided to try the “real” thing. My wife and I split the 1/4 between us and ate them with Mandarin Orange sections to help with the taste (I read about Lemon Tekking but it wasn’t recommended for first time users). We waited for the weekend and I didn’t take my Rx meds the night we tried them. Got some colours and a bit of distortion but it was a bit anti-climatic. We were left with a long period of restlessness, nothing major just couldn’t relax and my wife experienced low-level nausea throughout the night. After about 3 hours, I was underwhelmed and I couldn’t fall asleep, and since nothing seemed tp be happening, I took my Rx meds. Eventually fell asleep and it was just another day down, nothing to write home about. I will try this again with a different mushroom and a larger amount but the experience soured my wife on trying mushrooms again.
Please Note: I’m neuro-divergent so my grasp of what’s normal can be fairly skewed.
