Best Cannabis Strains for Beginners (Demo)

If you are new to cannabis, the world of available strains can be a lot to take in! There are hundreds of strain options, a plethora of genetics and a wide-variety of potency levels – so where do you begin!?

The first thing to know is the difference between Indica, Sativa and hybrid variations of cannabis as this is the main deciding factor depending on the experience you are looking for. Hybrids are a combination of various genetics to produce either a balanced 50/50 mix strain, or one that leans to Indica or Sativa effects. Those that are Indica-dominant (or pure Indica strains) are referred to as “in-da-couch” strains as they produce powerful body relaxation and tend to leave you couch-locked and sedated. These strains are also prone to producing “the munchies”. On the other hands, strains that are Sativa-dominant hybrids (or pure Sativa strains) produce uplifting and energizing effects that range from producing happiness and euphoria, to focus and clear-headedness to a creativity boost.

To help those of you who are brand new to cannabis, we have decided to put together a list of the best cannabis strains for beginners! The following options will be a good place to start for anyone looking to experience the benefits of cannabis for the first time.

The THC levels of this strain can reach up to 26%, but typically range between 18-22% making it a fairly potent option. It is not recommended for beginners with anxiety, but is well-suited to individuals looking to fight fatigue, bipolar disorder, depression, nausea and migraines.

Master Kush – Indica

Master Kush is a 90% Indica-dominant hybrid that was bred from two landrace strains – Hindu Kush and a pure Skunk – and has won two Cannabis Cup awards.
